The new year started off with a bang! Seven paintings found a new home and a bunch of Starlight Necklaces delighted Valentines and birthday girls.
It seems like as soon as the Christmas lights come down and the new calenders go up, everyone is ready to charge ahead with bigger websites, better catalogs and brighter business cards. And that means a barrage of new jobs for the freelance graphic designer. So the creative juices are brewing, and what perfect weather we’ve had for brainstorming!
Regular customers are calling for re-orders, old clients are resurfacing, and strangers are tracking me down through cyberspace. Never a dull moment at Purely Pacha headquarters.
Talk about one tough customer, this one will scream and cry for about 45 minutes if she doesn’t get just what she wants. What’s worse, she can’t seem to put her needs into words – just a forlorn gaze that seems to say, “I’ll know it when I see it.”
So I went to work on the Singer sewing machine and fashioned her this set of chewy, interlocking fabric rings – in hot pink, safety orange and electric blue. The colors capture her attention, the rings conform to the palm of her hands, and the soft fabric just seems to melt in her mouth. Voila – another satisfied costumer. (Though she still gives me that blank stare from time to time.)
